Mr. Seitz started teaching at Westwood High School this year, although he had worked as an aide here before. He is a business teacher who has been teaching a vast catalog of classes throughout his teaching career, such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship, math, and computer science.
As a kid, math was always his favorite subject. However, once he got into college, he majored in economics. After college, he knew he wanted to coach football, so he decided to teach high school. He loves the career choice he made and wouldn’t change it.
Mr. Seitz has spent his life in Westwood, going through the Westwood School District as a kid. After attending Wesleyan University in Connecticut, Mr. Seitz started at Westwood High School as an aide before moving to Bergen Catholic, where he taught math for four years. Last year, he was at the middle school, where he taught three classes: financial literacy, computer science, and entrepreneurship. His favorite subject and class to teach has been financial literacy.
Outside of school, Mr. Seitz coaches football, which he played throughout high school. He also coaches track and wrestling. He enjoys playing disc golf in his free time as well as working out and going for runs.
