Today, October 29th, marks the first ever breast cancer awareness day for spirit week. There was a sea of pink in the halls with students supporting the cause from head to toe. People wore pink shirts, pink socks, pink shoes, pink bandannas, you name it. Not only was this good for getting more points in spirit week, but also great that many students had so many breast cancer shirts, pins, etc. Many were wearing “cheer for a cure” and “save second base.” Today was a great turnout and breast cancer awareness day will most definitely be back next year at Westwood High School.
