Ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time of the year…Spirit Week! This week is going to be full of excitement, as we have some new themes AND an even longer week. This time, it is going to be from Monday to Monday (rather than Monday to Friday).
On Monday, we have the usual: Pajama Day. It will be comfy, cozy, and casual. The great thing about Pajama Day is that we’re basically getting points for rolling out of bed and coming right to school. Can’t wait! Tuesday will be America Day. Fortunately, for those of us that don’t seem to have a shirt with an American flag on it, or the ability to make red, white, and blue match, any of those colors will suffice and win points.
Wednesday is going to be Breast Cancer Awareness day. Bring out the pink, because every article of clothing counts. Just remember, this day isn’t only to get points for your class; this day is also to raise awareness and remember why we are actually doing this. Breast cancer takes too many lives each and every year, and together we can raise awareness and funds to help stop this awful sickness.
Thursday is Cardinal Pride day. Any cardinal clothing you have will help—it all adds up. Get your socks, sweatpants, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc. Then, there’s Friday, which is a personal favorite: Halloween! All costumes welcome…as long as they are school appropriate. Also, no masks…don’t be that guy!
Monday will be class color day. Eighth graders are orange, Freshmen are yellow, Sophomores are green, Juniors are blue, and Seniors are red. Last period on Monday will be a Battle of the Classes, and then that night we have our pep rally. Go to bed early, you’ll need the rest. Good luck to all classes! Points will be available exclusively on www.westwoodcardinalchronicle.com.
