I recommend that people create art over break. Whether it’s drawing, painting, music, writing, cooking, or anything else, people should be creating things, especially in the age of AI. Your own self expression and creativity are very important.
I have always loved art, making it myself, and appreciating other’s work. I plan on possibly doing art as a career in the future, and it hurts to hear people say it will easily be replaced by AI. Unlike AI, human creation has soul and thought behind it. So during break, you should make something new, go back to an old project, pick up a new hobby, or anything that will keep you creative this holiday season. You could make a gift for a family member or a friend, or just something for yourself.
