There are many fun things that you can do this holiday season while on break. One of these things is going ice skating. Ice skating is a fun and relaxing activity that you can do in many ways. You can invite your friends to go ice skating with you, you can plan a family trip to an ice skating rink, or if you feel like it you can go ice skating by yourself. All of these options are equally as fun and really depend on what you are in the mood for at that moment.
If you’re like me and prefer to do your own thing while ice skating you might want to go alone. I love spending time with friends and family but I hate being held back by them if they don’t know how to skate and I constantly have to check on them. If you don’t mind helping your friends and family out while skating you can invite them to join you so you can have a fun laugh while skating. Many ice skating rinks offer fun holiday snacks like candy, hot chocolate, and even hot dogs and pretzels. This way you won’t have to worry about getting hungry at the rink because food is right there for you to eat.
If you live in Bergen county there are many ice skating rinks that you can go to. One ice skating rink that I like to go to is the one in the Palisades Center Mall. This is a very good ice skating rink and it is especially convenient because it is inside a mall so you can either shop before or after you skate if you want. Another is the Ice House in Hackensack, New Jersey. This ice skating rink is very nice and is open for public skating. Another one that is really nice is the ice skating rink at Van Saun Park. This rink is very nice because it is outside unlike the other rinks which makes it unique. If you wanted to make a farther trip you could go to Rockefeller Center in New York. This ice skating rink is very popular so it might be a long wait but it is very worth it once you see the wonderful view. Overall ice skating is a great and fun way to fill your time this winter break whether you’re by yourself or with the people you love.
